Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has appealed to the government to urgently fix several deplorable roads in the constituency, in addition to those already approved for rehabilitation. According to the MP, the poor state of many feeder and linking roads continues to affect transportation, economic activities, and access to essential services for residents.   The Teacher Initiative spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has made a significant contribution to basic education in the district, benefiting 39 schools with a combined population of 8,829 pupils and 137 teachers. Through the initiative, financial support amounting to GHS 84,240 is disbursed monthly to the beneficiary schools, bringing the total support to GHS 589,680 over a seven-month period. The funding is aimed at motivating teachers and strengthening teaching and learning outcomes across the district. Beneficiary schools include Agyedum D/A, Obing Methodist Primary, Chichiso No. 2, among several others.   The prolonged chieftaincy and development dispute in Kwabeng took a significant turn on Wednesday when the Osino District Court directed Bafour Abusuapanyin Oduro Firikyi and opposing parties to sign a peace bond to help restore calm in the community. The directive followed arguments from lawyers representing both factions, who presented their positions before the court. Concerns over rising tensions and recent confrontations in Kwabeng prompted the judge to impose the peace bond as an immediate measure to prevent further disturbances. Initially, Bafour Abusuapanyin Oduro Firikyi and his legal team resisted the order, insisting that they had already filed an interlocutory injunction which they expected to be served. He reiterated this stance during a meeting with the Peace Council on Wednesday, where he emphasized the office’s critical role in promoting accountability.
