Asamankese Comes Alive as Me Boafo Foundation Draws Massive Crowd for Easter Health Walk

On Easter Saturday, Asamankese came alive with a sea of bright shirts and smiling faces as youth, elders, traditional leaders, and security personnel joined forces for a community-wide health walk. The Easter Fest Health Walk, organized by the Me Boafo Foundation, was aimed at promoting physical wellbeing, social cohesion, and preventive healthcare. The event was led by the Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Emmanuel Obiri Addo, and featured fitness sessions, nutrition education, and free health screenings held at the forecourt of BeKind Supermarket. The Queenmother of Kwahu Obomeng, Nana Ohemaa Yaakwei II, has called on Ghanaians, especially the youth, to desist from labelling their aged mothers as witches. She made the appeal during a health talk and screening event organized by Owen Foundation and Kwahu Professionals for the elderly in Kwahu Obomeng. Nana Ohemaa Yaakwei II emphasized that the practice of tagging old women as witches must stop, highlighting the need to respect and care for aged mothers. Madam Vivian Kwakyewaa, Executive member of both organizations, advised mothers to be independent and strong, while urging the youth to take care of their aged parents.
