In a significant boost to healthcare accessibility in the Fanteakwa South District, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Fanteakwa South, Hon. Ernest Ofosu, officially handed over a newly constructed nurses’ quarters to the Hemang Health Centre. Joined by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum, and the newly elected Parliamentary Candidate, Duke Ofori Atta, the DCE presented the two-bedroom, semi-detached residence designed to ensure that nurses can now reside close to the health center, ready to attend to patients promptly. The chief faces accusations of unauthorized sales of over 500 acres of stool land, as well as selling properties belonging to residents without permission in Akwadum, a community in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region. The allegations against Chief Nana Owusu Agyare led to swift action by Queen Mother Nana Adowaa Anima. As part of the destoolment rites, a sheep was sacrificed to signify the chief's removal, effectively stripping him of his title and disowning him.
