E/R:Former Deputy Education Minister Visits Family of Deceased Kukurantumi Youth, Urges Calm
Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North and former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), on Monday, September 22, 2025, paid a visit to the family of the late Kena Bright, popularly known as B Ball. The young man allegedly died after being brutalized by police officers led by Chief Inspector Fumadoh at Akyem Kukurantumi in the Abuakwa North Municipality on Sunday, September 21, 2025. According to Hon. Twum-Ampofo, her visit was to sympathize with the bereaved family and help calm tensions in the community. Speaking to the media after the visit, she urged personnel of the Ghana Police Service to exercise professionalism and not emotions in carrying out their duties.
