  The Abuakwa South Municipal NADMO Secretariat, led by Municipal Director Aikins Ofori, has initiated a major land reclamation and tree-planting project in collaboration with the Eastern Regional NADMO Secretariat, under the leadership of Hon. Cudjoe Adukpo. The project began at Akyem-Asiakwa and Kyebi-Asikam, where 1,000 tree seedlings supplied by the Municipal Forestry Commission were planted on former illegal mining sites in an effort to restore degraded lands.
