E/R:Hon. Dr. Kingsley Agyemang Donates Medical Equipment, Settles Patients’ Bills at Kyebi Government Hospital

  The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, has donated a range of medical equipment to the Kyebi Government Hospital and settled outstanding inpatient bills for patients at the facility. The intervention forms part of the MP’s continued efforts to support healthcare delivery and improve access to quality medical care for residents of Abuakwa South. The donated items include three suction machines, three electronic scales with height measurement, two pulse oximeters, 10 blood pressure machines, 10 thermometers, three electronic patient monitors, 20 wheelchairs, several boxes of examination gloves and one Cardiotocography (CTG) machine. The equipment is expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide efficient clinical services, particularly in emergency care, maternal healthcare, patient monitoring and other essential medical services.   Chiefs of Ablekuma have resolved to foster peaceful co-existence and harmony among themselves to ensure effective dispute resolution, as part of efforts to celebrate a peaceful Homowo festival. According to Asafoatse Otubour Ɔnsurogya, the Ablekuma Asafoatse of the Nii Sempe Mensah Royal Family, the purpose of the joint gathering was to help resolve disputes in Ablekuma, bury the past, and mark a new beginning in leadership. He explained that all three stool houses have expressed their desire to form an alliance to spur development in Ablekuma and drive the collective advancement of the area. Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I, Chief of Akyem Sokode Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality of Ghana’s Eastern Region, has donated bags of rice and vegetable oil to widows and widowers in the community. The gesture, which took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, benefited more than 50 widows and widowers as part of efforts to support vulnerable members of the community. Speaking during the presentation, Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I pledged his continued support to the beneficiaries and assured them that measures were being put in place to address their healthcare needs. He disclosed that arrangements were being made with the Community Hospital to provide healthcare services to the widows and widowers, with the cost to be borne by him.
