E/R:Kwasi Fante Polyclinic Appeals for Delivery Beds to Improve Maternal Healthcare

  The Facility Manager of the Holy Spirit Catholic Polyclinic in Kwasi Fante, Mr. Raymond Ayeh, has issued a heartfelt appeal for additional delivery beds to improve maternal healthcare in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region. The polyclinic, which serves Kwasi Fante and neighboring communities, currently operates with only one delivery bed, creating a serious challenge in meeting the growing needs of expectant mothers. Mr. Ayeh made the appeal after the facility received a donation of roofing sheets, plastic chairs, and streetlights from the District Chief Executive (DCE), Moses Tangmee, and the Member of Parliament for the area, Joseph Appiah Boateng. The donation, aimed at supporting the construction of the facility's new theater, was warmly welcomed. In a bid to enhance tax compliance within Ghana’s informal sector, civic tech organization BudgIT Ghana, in partnership with the Society for Women in Taxation (SWIT), has officially launched the final report of its research project titled "Ghana’s Untapped Economy: Analysis of Tax Compliance Behaviour of Informal Sector Workers in the Greater Accra Region." The event, which brought together leaders, policymakers, civil society actors, and informal sector representatives, aimed to reflect on the findings of the report and discuss practical steps toward building an inclusive, transparent, and equitable tax framework for Ghana’s informal economy.
