E/R:Six Arrested in Security Raid on Koforidua China Mall Construction Site
Six individuals have been arrested following a joint operation by personnel from National Security, the Ghana Armed Forces, and the Ghana Police Service at the Koforidua China Mall construction site located at Kenkey Factory in the Eastern Region. The arrests were made during a raid on the site after developers allegedly ignored a stop-work directive issued by the Eastern Regional Security Council (REGSEC). According to the Eastern Region's National Security Liaison Officer, Francis Annoh Dompreh, the construction site has officially been declared a restricted area, and no activities are permitted there until further notice. Mr. Dompreh cautioned the public against visiting or loitering around the site, stressing that anyone found within the designated no-go zone would be arrested and dealt with according to the law.
