G/A: Kabaka Foundation Empowers Street Hawkers with Free Medical Care and Financial Support

As part of activities marking the birthday celebration of its Chairman, Nana Owiredu Wadie, who also serves as the Kwahu Nkwatia Nkosuohene, the Kabaka Foundation has extended massive support to thousands of street hawkers along the Shiashie and Okponglo highway in Accra. The outreach formed part of the Foundation’s annual donation to the less privileged, but this year’s exercise was unique as it included free medical screening, eye tests, distribution of hot meals, branded aprons, and cash donations. In a heartwarming gesture, Nana Wadie also purchased items from the hawkers to bring smiles to their faces. Addressing the gathering, Nana Owiredu Wadie emphasized that truthfulness, honesty, and love are essential keys to success and prosperity. He pledged long-term support for hawkers who wish to further their education or acquire technical skills, while encouraging adult hawkers to enroll their children in school, assuring them of educational assistance from the Foundation.
