E/R:Third Batch of Ghana Standards Authority Inspectors Begin Training in Koforidua

The third cohort of 350 out of a total 2,600 trainees for the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) Inspector Programme has officially commenced training at the GNAT Hall in Koforidua, Eastern Region. Speaking on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohunu, the Eastern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. E. Twumasi Ankrah, advised the young trainees to be punctual and take their training seriously. He emphasized that the Police Management Board and the training school will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge in trade standards operations. “As future Inspectors of the Ghana Standards Authority, your core responsibilities will include conducting routine checks on the labeling of goods and services, investigating consumer complaints, collecting product samples, and ensuring public education on proper labeling and quality assurance,” he said.
