E/R:Hon. Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo Hands Over Fully Equipped CHPS Facility to Akyem Ati Community

Hon. Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, affectionately known as Hajia Kande, the outgoing Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North Constituency and former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has inaugurated a fully furnished and equipped CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) facility for the Akyem Ati community in the Eastern Region. The facility, officially handed over on January 4, 2025, is expected to serve thousands of residents, addressing critical health needs in the community. It is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices, including a weighing scale (adult), hanging scale, infantometer, BP machine, examination couch, fetal Doppler, infrared thermometer, autoclave (35 liters), delivery bed, five-fold screen, delivery suction machine, digital pan scale, drip stands, hospital beds (one crank), and a wheelchair.
