E/R:Akyem Adadientam Chief Builds 1.2km Town Road Without Government Aid, Urges Support for Community-Led Projects

In a powerful demonstration of grassroots leadership and commitment to local development, the Chief of Akyem Adadientam, Barima Ofori Asante, has fulfilled a key promise to his people by initiating the construction of a 1.2-kilometre town road, fully funded by the chief and community elders. True to a pledge made during his enstoolment in December 2022, Barima Ofori Asante has mobilized local resources to address a long-standing challenge — the deplorable state of the town’s main road. Once completed, the new road is expected to greatly ease transportation and boost socio-economic activity in the community. The road project is being executed by REBISA Company Ltd and includes the construction of 0.6-meter diameter U-drains and paving block surfacing.
