E/R:NADMO Swiftly Clears Fallen Trees from Accra–Kumasi Highway After Heavy Rains
The Abuakwa South Municipal branch of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Eastern Region, under the leadership of Mr. Akins Ofori, took swift and decisive action on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, to clear the Accra–Kumasi highway of fallen trees brought down by heavy rainfall. The prompt response, following a rapid complaint, restored clear visibility and averted potential accidents along the critical stretch between Asiakwa Junction and Apedwa Junction. The incident occurred after a period of intense rainfall, which caused several large trees to collapse and block significant portions of the highway within the Abuakwa South Municipality.
