Family of Late Daddy Lumba Invites Former President Akufo-Addo to December 13 Funeral
A delegation from the family of the late Ghanaian highlife icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has paid a courtesy call on former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to officially invite him to the musician’s upcoming funeral. The delegation, led by the family head Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, also known as Abusuapanin Tupac, visited the former president at his office on Wednesday, 10th December 2025. The visit formed part of the family’s formal engagements with national leaders and key personalities ahead of the final funeral rites scheduled for Saturday, 13th December 2025. Daddy Lumba, regarded as one of Ghana’s most influential and celebrated highlife musicians, passed away earlier in 2025.
