‎E/R:UK Philanthropist Launches Mobile Library to Boost Literacy in Ghana's Eastern Region ‎

  A UK-based philanthropist, Sharon Barbour, has partnered with the Juliet Johnston School Complex in Ghana's Abuakwa North Municipality to launch a Mobile Library Project, aimed at promoting a reading culture among basic school students. The project, facilitated by Rev. Solomon Nii Nikoi, seeks to address the shortage of reading materials in local schools by bringing books directly to students. The initiative was launched on January 13, 2026, with Ms. Barbour visiting the Municipal Director of Education and the Juliet Johnston School Complex, where she was given a warm welcome. The Co-Proprietress of the school, Ms. Juliet Gladys Osafo, expressed gratitude for the partnership and appealed for support to improve the school's infrastructure.
