E/R:Chief of Sokode-Juaso Extends Support to 1,500 Widows, Aged and Vulnerable Persons, Pledges Stronger Community Development

  Dr. Barimah Kwabena Awuah Parker I, Chief of Sokode-Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, has shown exemplary compassion and leadership by donating bags of rice to about 1,500 selected widows, aged persons, and other vulnerable individuals in Kumasi Bethel, Koforidua, and Sokode-Juaso. The humanitarian exercise, which climaxed at Sokode-Juaso on Sunday, December 28, 2025, was organized by Sokode-Juaso Youth for Development as part of efforts to support the less privileged and promote social welfare within the communities. Speaking at the programme, Dr. Barimah Kwabena Awuah Parker I thanked God for His protection over the people of Sokode-Juaso and expressed appreciation to residents for their continuous support and cooperation, which he described as vital to effective traditional leadership.
