Gifty Twum-Ampofo, has called on Ghanaians to uphold the core principles of Christianity—humility, love, affection, forgiveness, and peaceful co-existence—as demonstrated by the founders of the Methodist Church, Susanna Wesley and John Wesley. Traditional leaders and residents of Kwahu Esaase and adjoining communities in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region have praised the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Tamimu Halidu, for initiating meaningful steps toward a lasting resolution of longstanding disputes with Akroma Gold Mines Company. Speaking on behalf of the traditional leaders and residents, Nana Acheampong Mintah, Kwahu Obo Nifahene, expressed confidence in the MCE’s efforts to address years of misunderstandings between the mining company and affected communities. He stressed that the new approach represents a more significant development than previous engagements, especially as it prioritizes the welfare of residents.
