E/R:Hon. Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo Fulfills Promise: Modern Medical Equipment Delivered to Akyem Ati CHPS Compound
Hon. Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, affectionately called Hajia Kande, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency and former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has fulfilled her commitment to improve healthcare delivery in Akyem Ati. On December 31, 2024, she delivered modern medical equipment to the Akyem Ati Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, marking a significant milestone in addressing the community’s healthcare challenges. The equipment, which includes a weighing scale (adult), hanging scale, infantometer, BP machine, examination couch, fetal Doppler, infrared thermometer, autoclave (35 liters), delivery bed, a five-fold screen, delivery suction machine, digital pan scale, two drip stands, two hospital beds (one crank), and a wheelchair, was handed over to Nana Brempomaa Amoafoa II, Queen Mother of Akyem Ati, pending the installation and completion of renovations on the facility.
