  The Amenfi Central District Football Association (FA) has officially announced the commencement of the Hon. Joana Gyan Colts League 2024/2025 season, an initiative aimed at developing young football talents in the Western Region. Scheduled to take place from April 27th to May 4th, 2025, at Wassa Jaubo, the tournament will feature three age categories: Under-10, Under-13, and Under-15. The Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has inspected several development projects funded under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality. The visit aimed to assess the progress and quality of the projects, ensure they meet required standards, and identify potential challenges for necessary interventions. Mrs. Awatey and her team inspected the construction of a Business Resource Center and over 200 lockable stores at Agormanya. Other projects included the bituminous surfacing of the 1.2-kilometre Canaan and Kpanyas roads, the construction of the Atua-Adjikpo-Yokunya road, the one-kilometre SAS George Street, as well as the construction of box culverts and storm drains at Manaam.
