On September 26, 2024, Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin officially commissioned the Ofori Panin Model School at Akyem Asuom, marking a significant milestone in the region’s educational development. The newly established school boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities designed to enhance both teaching and learning in the community. The Ofori Panin Model School is comprised of nine units, which include classrooms, an administration block, a library, an ICT block, washrooms, and a teachers' common room. Pru East: NDC PC Welcomes Defected NPP Supporters

Hundreds of NPP supporters from Kabende in Pru East Constituency of the Bono East Region have joined the NDC party, citing disappointment with the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government.  Led by Kofi Tawiah to declare their actions during a mini durbar on Thursday, they expressed frustration over neglected development and job scarcity for graduates who have supported the NPP party for years. “After winning power, the leadership of the party has failed to our children’s jobs. The most painful of it is that, some of our colleagues who have certificates for various opportunities are unemployed” the leader said. Dr. Kingsley Agyeman, the parliamentary candidate for Abuakwa South Constituency, has extended a generous hand to support local youth and artisans. In a heartwarming ceremony held at Akyem Maase, Dr. Agyeman, along with key New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives, donated essential equipment and financial support to aspiring apprentices in dressmaking and hairdressing. Among the NPP executives present were Constituency Chairman Otis Asante, Secretary Julius Okyere, Women’s Organizer Nana Serwaa Oti, and Organizer Okyeame Appiah. The event drew participation from several electoral areas, including Asafo, Akooko, Adonkwanta, and Agyapomaa. The center is fully equipped with modern medical facilities and staffed by trained healthcare professionals. During the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Shetty Gangadhar, Chief Executive Officer of GOPDC, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to the well-being of the communities where they operate.
