E/R: Okyenhene Commissions State-of-the-Art Ofori Panin Model School at Akyem Asuom

On September 26, 2024, Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin officially commissioned the Ofori Panin Model School at Akyem Asuom, marking a significant milestone in the region’s educational development. The newly established school boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities designed to enhance both teaching and learning in the community.

The Ofori Panin Model School is comprised of nine units, which include classrooms, an administration block, a library, an ICT block, washrooms, and a teachers' common room. These facilities will provide an ideal environment for effective teaching and learning, positioning the school as a premier institution within the Akyem Asuom area.


The school is also equipped with advanced educational technology such as computers, projectors, and internet access. These resources will enable students to explore knowledge beyond the traditional classroom setting, offering them a wider scope of information and learning opportunities.


The commissioning of this school is a reflection of Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin’s ongoing dedication to improving education within his jurisdiction. In his remarks, the Okyenhene highlighted his passion for ensuring access to quality education for the people of Akyem Asuom and neighboring communities. He proudly noted that Akyem Asuom is one of the many communities benefiting from his initiative, stating, "I have built 10 of these schools on Akyem land through the Osagyefo Educational Fund, and Asuom is lucky to have one."



The newly commissioned school is expected to greatly enhance the quality of education in Akyem Asuom. The modern facilities and technological advancements are likely to attract more students, boosting enrollment and fostering a stronger educational culture in the area. He stressed the importance of keeping the school clean and well-maintained to ensure its longevity, stating, "I plead with you to uphold a culture of maintenance, so that this school will remain strong, clean, and conducive to providing a quality education."
