The Member of Parliament for the Mpraeso Constituency, Davis Opoku Ansah, has made a passionate appeal to the government to prioritize infrastructural expansion in four senior high schools within his constituency. This appeal follows his visit to the schools, where he made donations and observed the challenges brought about by the growing student population under the Free Senior High School initiative. The schools that benefited from the MP’s donations include Kwahu Obo Ridge Senior High School, Bepong Senior High School, Mpraeso Senior High School, and St. Paul's Senior High School at Asakraka. The donated items included lorry tyres, refrigerators, street light bulbs, dustbins, and other essentials to improve school facilities. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organizer for the Eastern Region, Richard Nyarko, popularly known as Bilibo, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaians, claiming that a ball of kenkey could cost GHC 30 and a gallon of petrol GHC 300 if they vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the next general election. According to Bilibo, the current prices of kenkey and petrol are the result of poor governance and economic mismanagement by the NPP government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
