The Chief of Akyem Tafo, Daasebre Adusei Peasah IV, has firmly declared that Akyem Tontro in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area of Ghana’s Eastern Region recognizes only one legitimate chief—Nana Obrako Sarpong I. He made this pronouncement during the coronation ceremony of Nana Obrako Sarpong I, held at the durbar grounds on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
