Ahmed Anas Urges NDC Leadership to Learn from NPP’s Delegate Conference Outcomes

Accra, July 19, 2025 — Political commentator Ahmed Anas has called on the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to draw crucial lessons from the just ended National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), warning that the current trajectory of the NDC under the leadership of  President John Dramani Mahama requires urgent attention and strategic reforms. In an opinion piece dated July 19, 2025, Mr. Anas highlighted several concerns raised by party loyalists, stakeholders, and even top executives such as National Chairman Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah. He noted that six months into the Mahama administration, key challenges such as strategic appointments, party cohesion, apathy among grassroots members, and emerging internal presidential ambitions are threatening the party’s success.
