Police hunts Atta Yankson for using fake car number plate
Police in Koforidua in the Eastern region are pursuing one Yaw Attah Yankson who carries himself as the Adwamponghene of New Juaben Traditional area for declining a police invitation over the use of suspected fake customized car number plates. The suspect, police sources say, is being traced for continuously using fake customized plates on unregistered vehicles against road traffic regulations and clear disregard of the law. At some point in time, he was spotted attending a program in town in a Ford Raptor with one of the fake customized registration number inscribed "Adwamponghene". In spite of efforts by officers from the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) of the Ghana Police, to invite the suspect over for investigations, their efforts have hit a snag after the suspect's friend, one Charles Boateng who promised produce him at the regional MTTD command the next day failed to do so.
