N/R:Two Arrested at Sangba Inland Checkpoint with G3 Rifles and Ammunition

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at approximately 5:00 PM, a team of Immigration Officers stationed at the Sangba Inland Checkpoint in the Northern Region intercepted two individuals transporting firearms and ammunition on motorbikes. The suspects, identified as Mr. Nlibe Otanpi and Mr. Balon Matthew, were riding two separate Haojue motorbikes. One had a registered license plate (M-24-GR 8872), while the other was unregistered. Their possessions included a black drum containing bread and an empty motor box. The operation, led by Immigration Control Officer (ICO) Farouk Issaka, included ICO Ayer Solomon, Assistant ICO (AICO) I David Consider McKenzie, AICO I Blay Ngolley, AICO II Fred Owusu, and AICO II Mumuni Muntalabi Marzouk.
