ADAM-GH Calls for Independent Probe into Alleged Misconduct at CID Headquarters
Hajia Mariam, Dep.Executive Secretary, ADAM-GH The Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement Ghana (ADAM-GH) has called for an immediate, independent and impartial investigation into allegations of misconduct involving officers at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service. According to the group, allegations brought to its attention include extortion, bribery, unlawful intimidation, harassment, victimisation and attempts to implicate citizens in offences they may not have committed. In a press release issued on August 11, 2026, ADAM-GH said its concerns were not an attack on the Ghana Police Service or its officers who continue to serve with professionalism and integrity, but rather a call to protect the credibility of the institution and restore public confidence.
