  The Enyiresi Government Hospital in the Atiwa East District of the Eastern Region has received a newly constructed two-storey self-contained building to serve as accommodation for doctors, courtesy of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare. The facility was commissioned and officially handed over on 19th December 2025. Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare explained that the project was motivated by the long-standing challenge of inadequate accommodation, which often discourages doctors from accepting postings to rural areas. She said the provision of decent housing is key to attracting and retaining medical professionals in such communities.
