E/R:Kwahu West MCE Distributes Livelihood Support to Persons with Disabilities
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has distributed livelihood support items to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the municipality as part of efforts to empower them economically and reduce poverty. The initiative, which benefited over 41 physically challenged persons, is aimed at enhancing the social standing of PWDs, promoting self-reliance, and encouraging active participation in economic activities. Items distributed included deep freezers, fufu pounding machines, hair dryers, sewing machines, and other equipment to support small-scale businesses. Addressing beneficiaries at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Tamimu Halidu explained that the Assembly engaged the beneficiaries to identify the items most suitable for improving their livelihoods before the purchases were made.
