Widows, Persons with Disabilities and the Aged Laud Kwahu Tafo Chief for Life-Changing Support
The Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Opoku Mintah II, has once again demonstrated his strong commitment to the welfare of his people with a massive donation worth thousands of Ghana cedis to support widows, persons with disabilities and the aged in the Kwahu Tafo community and its surrounding areas in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.
Addressing beneficiaries at the presentation ceremony, Nana Opoku Mintah II explained that the gesture forms part of his broader vision to improve livelihoods and promote inclusive development within the community. He reaffirmed his dedication to putting smiles on the faces of the vulnerable and making a meaningful impact in their lives, especially during the festive season.
The Chief also expressed deep appreciation to the Queenmother of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Gyamfuah Aduako III, acknowledging her immense role in shaping his leadership. He praised her sacrifices, guidance, wisdom, strength and unwavering support throughout his reign.
In her remarks, Nana Gyamfuah Aduako III called for unity and peace among community members to foster accelerated development. She described the donation as a beacon of hope and a blessing that continues to put food on the tables of many families during the Christmas festivities. The Queenmother commended Nana Opoku Mintah II for his consistent support for the needy.
On their part, the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief for what they described as a generous and impactful annual initiative. Over 800 widows, persons with disabilities and aged persons from Kwahu Tafo and neighbouring communities benefited from the donation.
Items distributed included bags of rice, cooking oil, canned tuna and live livestock such as hens and cocks to enable beneficiaries celebrate the festive season with dignity. They expressed hope that the benevolent gesture would continue in the years ahead.
