E/R:Respect Your Moms: Queen Mother Urges Ghanaians to Stop Labelling Aged Women as Witches

The Queenmother of Kwahu Obomeng, Nana Ohemaa Yaakwei II, has called on Ghanaians, especially the youth, to desist from labelling their aged mothers as witches. She made the appeal during a health talk and screening event organized by Owen Foundation and Kwahu Professionals for the elderly in Kwahu Obomeng.

Nana Ohemaa Yaakwei II emphasized that the practice of tagging old women as witches must stop, highlighting the need to respect and care for aged mothers. Madam Vivian Kwakyewaa, Executive member of both organizations, advised mothers to be independent and strong, while urging the youth to take care of their aged parents.

"Many old age people experience many challenges, so take care of them, and they'll receive the same treatment when it's your turn," she said.
