W/R: Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s Teacher Initiative Boosts Education in Amenfi Central

The Teacher Initiative spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has made a significant contribution to basic education in the district, benefiting 39 schools with a combined population of 8,829 pupils and 137 teachers.


Through the initiative, financial support amounting to GHS 84,240 is disbursed monthly to the beneficiary schools, bringing the total support to GHS 589,680 over a seven-month period. The funding is aimed at motivating teachers and strengthening teaching and learning outcomes across the district.


Beneficiary schools include Agyedum D/A, Obing Methodist Primary, Chichiso No. 2, among several others. Each school received between GHS 8,400 and GHS 22,400 over the seven-month period, based on the number of teachers and pupil enrollment.


The initiative underscores Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s commitment to education and her recognition of the vital role teachers play in shaping the future of the nation. The intervention is expected to have a lasting positive impact on educational delivery and community development in Amenfi Central.
