E/R:NADMO Partners Bunso Eco Park to Strengthen Safety Measures for Festive Season

The Abuakwa South Municipal NADMO Secretariat, led by Mr. Aikins Ofori, is set to collaborate with Bunso Eco Park to provide 24-hour safety services throughout the festive season.

This follows an assessment visit by NADMO officials to the Eco Park on 10th December 2025. After touring the facility, Mr. Ofori noted that they had reviewed staff questionnaires and gained a clear understanding of the park’s operations. He announced that NADMO personnel will be stationed at the park during the yuletide to help prevent any potential disasters.

He assured the public that safety within the Eco Park will be maintained around the clock, emphasizing that officials will help manage crowd control to ensure a secure environment for visitors.

Mr. Kenneth Asare Frempong, Facilities Manager of Bunso Eco Park, expressed gratitude to the NADMO team for the visit. He mentioned that although various safety measures are already in place, NADMO’s involvement further strengthens their preparedness — a move he described as highly welcome.

He added that visitors will be briefed on the park’s guidelines upon arrival to ensure an incident-free festive season, especially as several entertainment activities have been scheduled.

Mr. Frempong also highlighted ongoing collaboration with security agencies across the municipality to guarantee visitor safety. He encouraged the public to patronize the Eco Park for recreation and to experience its unique natural environment.

Bunso Eco Park, formerly known as Bunso Arboretum, is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Established in 1935, it features over 600 plant species, medicinal herbs, diverse wildlife, and vibrant plant and insect life. The park also offers a range of entertainment facilities including a canopy walkway, zipline, adult swing, horse riding, swimming pool, table tennis, and several other recreational activities, making it one of Ghana’s most exciting ecological and adventure destinations.
