E/R: Abandoned Dodge Caliber on Akyem Maase–Old Tafo Road Raises Residents’ Concerns
Residents along the Akyem Maase–Akyem Old Tafo road in the Eastern Region have raised concerns over a black Dodge Caliber saloon car with registration number AW 112-15, which has reportedly been left unattended for more than two months.
The vehicle, which was initially parked on the shoulder of the road in front of the Global Farming and Technology Institute, has recently been spotted in a ditch with damage to its front light, bumper and bonnet following a reported collision with another vehicle.
Some residents who spoke on the matter suspect that the car may have been abandoned, raising concerns about its ownership and the circumstances surrounding its presence at the location. They have also expressed fears that it could potentially be linked to criminal activity, although no evidence has been provided to substantiate these suspicions.
The residents are therefore appealing to the relevant authorities, particularly the Ghana Police Service, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the vehicle and take the necessary action.
They say prompt intervention would help establish the ownership of the car, address the concerns of the community and prevent any potential safety risks to motorists and other road users.
