C/R:Police Investigate Death of Woman Found Under Mango Tree at Kasoa

The Central Regional Police Command is investigating the death of a woman who was found under a mango tree at Kasoa on October 4, 2026.

The deceased, identified as Mawuse, was reportedly found kneeling with a rope around her neck in front of her family’s compound in circumstances that initially appeared to suggest suicide.

However, preliminary investigations are reportedly examining the possibility that she may have died elsewhere before her body was moved to the location.

Police and forensic experts have reportedly collected physical evidence, including the deceased’s mobile phone, as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

Reports also indicate that investigators are examining possible signs of sexual assault, although the circumstances and cause of death remain subject to police and forensic investigations.

The Central Regional Police Command is working to establish the deceased’s final movements and identify anyone who may have been involved.

The bereaved family is appealing to the police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that anyone found responsible is brought to justice.
