W/R:AMENFI CENTRAL MP LAUNCHES “BACK TO SHS” PROJECT FOR BECE GRADUATES
The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has introduced a new educational support initiative dubbed the “Back to SHS Project” to assist BECE graduates in the constituency as they transition from Junior High School to Senior High School.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s commitment to supporting education and reducing the financial burden on parents and guardians as their wards prepare to begin their secondary education.
Under the programme, eligible BECE graduates will receive essential items including metal trunks, chop boxes, student mattresses, plastic buckets, exercise books, pens and other school supplies.
To qualify for the support, BECE graduates in the constituency are required to report to the Senior High School to which they have been placed and obtain their admission letter and prospectus.
They are then expected to submit the documents to their respective JHS headteachers, who will verify, endorse and register them for the project.
The compiled list of beneficiaries will subsequently be submitted to the District Education Directorate for the necessary administrative processing.
The deadline for registration and submission of the required documents to JHS headteachers is Thursday, September 17, 2026.
All eligible BECE graduates in the Wassa Amenfi Central Constituency have therefore been encouraged to complete the registration process before the deadline to facilitate arrangements for the distribution of the support packages.
The date for the distribution of the items will be communicated later.
The MP’s office says it remains committed to promoting quality education, equal opportunities and the welfare of students and families in the constituency.
