E/R:Samuel Oteng Vows to Mobilise Human Resource for NDC Victory in Abuakwa North

Mr Samuel Oteng, a hopeful for the position of Abuakwa North Constituency NDC Secretary, has expressed confidence in winning the upcoming constituency executive elections after picking number two on the ballot.


Speaking after his vetting at Akyem Nsutam in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Mr Oteng described the vetting process as smooth and said the Abuakwa North NDC has a pool of capable human resources that can contribute to the party’s development and electoral success.


He explained that he volunteered to undergo training at the national level to help train constituency polling agents, an initiative he said contributed to strengthening the party’s electoral operations.


Mr Oteng added that he played a vital role during the 2024 general elections while working with the party’s Elections Directorate. He said the team was able to collate its election results before the Electoral Commission completed its own collation, describing the experience as an important lesson in effective electoral organisation.


According to him, his involvement in the electoral process further convinced him that the constituency has the human resources needed to achieve its objectives. He therefore pledged that, if given the mandate as Constituency Secretary, he would mobilise, train and empower party members to strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.


Mr Oteng said one of his major objectives would be to contribute to efforts to enable the NDC to win the Abuakwa North parliamentary seat, and assured delegates that he would work with all stakeholders towards that goal.


He appealed to delegates to rally behind his candidature and unite for the development and progress of the NDC in the Abuakwa North Constituency.
