E/R:Abuakwa North NDC Chairman Sadidi Mohammed Makes Parliamentary Victory His Prime Objective

Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed, popularly known as Arab Money, the incumbent Abuakwa North Constituency NDC Chairman seeking to retain his position, has declared that winning the Member of Parliament position in the constituency is his next and prime objective.


According to him, throughout the history of the Fourth Republic, the NDC has not won the parliamentary seat in Abuakwa North, and he is determined to change that situation by consolidating the gains the party has made under his leadership.


Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed said his administration successfully moved the NDC from opposition to victory in the 2024 general elections. He added that the party has also significantly increased its representation among elected assembly members, secured the position of Presiding Member and produced a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).


He said these achievements have strengthened the NDC's presence in the constituency, making the parliamentary seat the next major target for the party.


“I made the NDC attractive in Abuakwa North Constituency and won the general elections with significant numbers, unprecedented in the history of the party in the constituency. I increased the number of assembly members, provided a Presiding Member and an MCE, leaving the Member of Parliament position, which is my next agenda,” Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed stated.


He made the remarks after undergoing vetting and participating in the balloting process at the Akyem Nsutam Community Centre in the Eastern Region on Sunday, September 27, 2026.


He described the vetting and balloting exercise as fair. After picking number three on the ballot, Alhaji Sadidi explained that the number symbolises the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.


He further appealed to all aspirants to conduct clean campaigns devoid of insults, personal attacks and other forms of hostility.


Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed stressed that unity among party members would be crucial to the party’s success, calling on all aspirants and supporters to work together in the interest of the NDC and its future electoral fortunes in Abuakwa North.
