Joana Gyan Cudjoe Ends Seven-Year Professional Partnership with KECHE Global

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has officially ended her seven-year professional and contractual relationship with Ghanaian music duo KECHE, formerly known as KECHE Music Group.


According to a statement issued by GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd on August 31, 2026, the partnership, which began in 2019, came to an end following the expiration of the agreement, with Hon. Joana deciding not to renew or continue the professional relationship.


The statement clarified that KECHE Global is no longer under the management, representation, investment or business operations of Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe or GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.


The company described the decision as a peaceful and final professional separation, stressing that there is no fight, hatred, bitterness or controversy between the parties.


During the seven-year partnership, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe reportedly served as Executive Producer and sole investor, providing financial, managerial and professional support towards the development of KECHE's music career.


Her support covered music recording and production, music videos, marketing and promotion, artist development, branding, photography, travel, performances, media promotion and other creative projects.


The statement noted that her involvement went beyond financial investment, extending to executive production, management, business relationships, international travel and efforts to promote the group beyond Ghana.


During the period, KECHE released a number of songs and collaborations, including Odo, Today, Same Girl featuring Akwaboah, No Dulling featuring Kuami Eugene, Good Mood featuring Fameye, Faya featuring Epixode, Life, Something Must Happen, Party of the Year featuring Mr. Drew, Kiss, Papapa featuring Lasmid, Maame and Enjoy Life.


The statement further explained that Hon. Joana changed the group's name from KECHE to KECHE Global as part of her vision to position the group for a wider African and international audience.


Despite the end of the professional partnership, the statement emphasized that personal and family relationships remain intact. KECHE Global will continue with Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, known as Keche Andrew, and Joshua Kojo Ampah, known as Keche Joshua.


Andrew Kofi Cudjoe is also Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe's husband.


The statement stressed that the announcement concerns only the business relationship and does not signify the end of their marriage or family ties.


Going forward, KECHE Global will operate independently and will be responsible for securing its own management, investors, business partners, record companies, promoters and producers.


Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, meanwhile, is expected to focus on her own businesses, investments, music projects, artists and other opportunities through GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.


On issues concerning music and creative rights, the statement said any affected rights, interests or ownership arrangements would be handled professionally in accordance with applicable agreements and the law.


Hon. Joana expressed gratitude for the experiences and lessons gained during the seven-year journey and encouraged fans to continue supporting KECHE Global by streaming their music, watching their videos, attending their performances and supporting their future projects.


The statement concluded with goodwill towards KECHE Global, saying that although the business partnership has ended, respect and family bonds remain.


Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe is now turning her attention to what she describes as a new chapter focused on discovering, developing and promoting new African talent, music and entertainment projects, with the broader vision of taking Ghanaian talent from Ghana to Africa and the world.
