W/R: Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria Honours Amenfi Central MP Joana Gyan Cudjoe for GH¢200,000 Support at Book Launch
Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria, an academic, traditional leader, policy analyst, banker, chartered accountant, entrepreneur and author, has honoured the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, in recognition of her exceptional support during the launch of his book, Rebuilding Confidence, Restoring Strength: The Leadership Behind NIB's Historic Turnaround.
During a courtesy visit, Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria presented the MP with several autographed copies of the publication, including a specially dedicated edition bearing a personal inscription as a token of appreciation for her significant contribution to the success of the launch.
The author commended Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe for emerging as the highest purchaser of the book after supporting the launch with GH¢200,000. He described her gesture as more than an act of generosity, saying it reflected her strong belief in the value of knowledge, leadership and national development.
Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria noted that meaningful leadership also involves recognising and appreciating individuals who support initiatives that promote positive change. He emphasized that the courtesy visit was intended to publicly acknowledge the MP's encouragement and confidence in the publication.
Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, who represents the Amenfi Central Constituency in Parliament, has earned recognition for championing education, youth empowerment, women's economic participation, healthcare, infrastructure development and job creation. Before entering Parliament, she established herself as a successful entrepreneur with investments in Ghana's mining sector, contributing to employment creation and community development, particularly in the Western Region.
According to the author, the MP's decision to invest heavily in the publication demonstrates her commitment to promoting scholarship and preserving knowledge that can inspire future leaders.
The book chronicles the transformation of the National Investment Bank (NIB), detailing the leadership strategies, governance reforms, stakeholder engagement and resilience that contributed to restoring confidence in one of Ghana's oldest indigenous financial institutions. It also highlights practical lessons in transformational leadership, crisis management, ethical governance and institutional reforms.
The official launch attracted government officials, Members of Parliament, traditional leaders, corporate executives, members of the diplomatic community, academics, banking professionals, entrepreneurs, students and development partners. Speakers praised the publication for documenting an important chapter in Ghana's financial history while offering practical leadership lessons applicable to both the public and private sectors.
Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria expressed profound gratitude to Hon.
