E/R:Chief of Kwahu Tafo Urges Parents to Closely Monitor and Guide Children for a Better Future

KWAHU TAFO – The Chief of Kwahu Tafo and Kwahu-Twafohene, _Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II_, has made a passionate appeal to parents and guardians in Kwahu Tafo to take an active role in monitoring their children’s movements and providing firm moral guidance to help them succeed in life.


He made this call during a special “OUR DAY” celebration organized for all students in schools across Kwahu Tafo in the Kwahu East District. The event brought together pupils, teachers, parents, and opinion leaders for a day of fun, motivation, and reflection.



Addressing the gathering, Nana Opoku Mintah II said celebrating “OUR DAY” with children is one way of encouraging them to remain focused on their education and strive to make their families and community proud. He urged students to stay disciplined, determined, and committed to their academic goals.


The Chief emphasized that good parenting is not only about providing basic needs but also about balancing education, discipline, and moral values. According to him, children who grow up with proper supervision and guidance are more likely to become responsible and successful adults.


Also speaking at the event, _Mr. George Kwame Sumoah_ of the Kwahu East District Education Directorate expressed appreciation to Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II and his opinion leaders for their continuous support to education in the area.



Mr. Sumoah reminded parents that raising a child goes beyond paying school fees or providing food and clothing. He noted that parents must also teach their children respect, humility, and discipline, and must lead by example. He added that when parents show interest in their children’s academic and moral development, it sends a strong message about the importance of good upbringing in building a better society.


The “OUR DAY” celebration featured performances, speeches, and interactions aimed at motivating students to take their studies seriously and to uphold the values of hard work and good character.


Community members present praised the initiative and called for more of such engagements to strengthen the relationship between traditional leaders, educators, and parents in shaping the future of the youth.
