E/R:Twumhene Collins Pledges Dedicated Service and Unity Ahead of Abuakwa North NPP Polls
Akyem Kukurantumi, Eastern Region – June 25, 2026
An aspiring First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency, Mr. Twumhene Collins, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the party with dedication, humility, and unity if elected by delegates.
Speaking to the media after successfully undergoing the party's vetting exercise conducted by the Election Committee on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the NPP Constituency Office in Akyem Kukurantumi, Mr. Collins described his commitment to the growth and success of the party as "immeasurable."
He expressed confidence in his vision to strengthen the party's structures at the grassroots level, stating that his priority would be to foster unity among members, promote effective mobilization, and work tirelessly to position the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, the strength of every political party lies in its ability to remain united despite internal contests, stressing that leadership should focus on service rather than personal ambition.
Mr. Collins appealed to delegates to entrust him with the mandate to serve as the Constituency's First Vice Chairman, promising to work diligently with all stakeholders to rebuild, reorganize, and energize the grassroots base of the party.
He also urged fellow aspirants contesting various constituency executive positions to conduct issue-based and peaceful campaigns, cautioning against the use of insults, personal attacks, and vulgar language.
According to him, campaigns characterized by hostility and divisive rhetoric have the potential to destabilize the party, weaken internal cohesion, and undermine the peace and unity that the NPP has built over the years.
"The contest is an internal family affair, and after the elections we must continue working together for the common good of the party," he noted, encouraging all contestants to prioritize the collective interest of the NPP over individual ambitions.
Mr. Collins further called on party delegates to rally behind his candidature, assuring them that his leadership would focus on strengthening grassroots mobilization, promoting inclusiveness, and building a united front capable of reclaiming political power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2028 general elections.
He concluded by reiterating that his campaign is anchored on service to the party, unity, humility, and a shared commitment to ensuring a stronger and more vibrant NPP in Abuakwa North and beyond.
