‎E/R:Freddark Fashion Foundation Launched to Tackle Youth Unemployment in Akyem Tafo

The Freddark Fashion Foundation was officially launched in Akyem Tafo, Abuakwa North Municipality, with a call to action to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment in the community. The event, attended by prominent personalities including former Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, and Member of Parliament, Hon. Nana Ampaw Kwame Addo Frempong, aimed to highlight the importance of empowering the youth with skills training to boost their economic prospects.


‎Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo emphasized the need for initiatives like the Freddark Fashion Foundation, which she described as a "game changer" in tackling graduate youth unemployment. She stressed that the foundation's efforts would go a long way in equipping the youth with the necessary skills to become employable and contribute to the socio-economic development of the municipality.


Hon. Nana Ampaw Kwame Addo Frempong, also known as Chief Buffalo, echoed these sentiments, pledging his support for the foundation's efforts to address youth unemployment. He emphasized the need for collective action to tackle the scourge of unemployment, which he described as a major obstacle to the community's development.


‎Dr. Afriyie Benard, CEO of Afriyie Auspice International, who provided free health screening at the event, also weighed in on the issue of youth unemployment, describing it as a significant challenge facing the community. He expressed his support for the foundation's initiative, citing the need for sustainable solutions to address the problem.


‎Mr. Godfred Darko, CEO of Freddark Fashion Foundation, explained that the free skills training program was designed to empower the youth and steer them away from social vices. He expressed his commitment to continuing the foundation's work in supporting the youth and contributing to the development of the community.


‎The event was chaired by Nana Brempomah Amoafoa II, Queen Mother of Akyem Ati, who underscored the importance of initiatives like the Freddark Fashion Foundation in promoting the welfare of the youth. The launch of the foundation was seen as a significant step towards addressing the pressing issue of youth unemployment in Akyem Tafo and beyond.
