A worker of Gold Empire Mining Company, identified only as Hakeem, was chased from the company's concession at Bunso to his home in Osino Ankaase on January 13, 2026, by faceless security guards. This incident is the latest in a series of terror attacks on workers, who are calling for swift action to address the situation.


The matter has been reported to the police, but workers are still living in fear of further attacks. The company has been facing issues with land guards invading their concession, disrupting operations and threatening employees.


The incident highlights the growing concern over the safety and security of workers in the mining sector, particularly in the Eastern Region. Authorities are being urged to take immediate action to protect workers and ensure that those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice.
