“My Age My Help” Marks World Hypertension Day with Free Screening for New Tafo Market Traders

‎As part of activities to commemorate World Hypertension Day, "My Age My Help," a non-governmental organization based in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, organized a free blood pressure screening exercise for traders at the New Tafo Market.

‎The initiative, led by *Dr. Charles Debrah*, Executive Director of My Age My Help International, aimed to raise awareness about hypertension and encourage early detection among market women and men. Dr. Debrah, alongside his team, conducted screenings for numerous traders while providing education on how to manage and prevent high blood pressure.

‎Participants received on-the-spot results and were advised on healthy lifestyle practices to help reduce their risk. Those found with abnormal blood pressure readings were urged to seek further medical attention at a hospital or health facility.

The traders warmly welcomed the exercise, expressing their gratitude to the organization for bringing essential health services directly to their workplace. The initiative reflects the growing importance of preventive healthcare and community-centered interventions in promoting public health.

‎"My Age My Help" continues to show strong dedication to improving the well-being of residents in Abuakwa North through impactful and accessible healthcare outreach programs.
