E/R:Christians Encouraged to Prioritize Quiet Time with God
The Mount Sinai Prayer Camp spokesperson, Rev. Samuel Mankata Addo, has urged Christians to cultivate the habit of having consistent quiet time with God. According to him, spending quality time with God refreshes the soul, strengthens faith, and helps believers reflect true Christianity. He emphasized that just as people spend quality time with their loved ones, Christians must also prioritize their time with Jesus to fully experience the benefits of salvation.
Rev. Addo made these remarks during a one-day retreat at Mount Sinai Prayer Camp in Kwahu Obomeng, Eastern Region, under the theme “Rise Up and Walk” (Acts 3:6).
He further explained that being saved is just the first step; Christians must also submit and surrender to God’s transformative power through revelation and the Holy Spirit. He cautioned that spiritual growth can be hindered when believers allow distractions and noise to overshadow their connection with God.
Meanwhile, Rev. Samuel Kwabena Asare, steward of Mount Sinai Prayer Camp, encouraged Christians to live in humility, obedience, and love. He stressed the importance of recognizing personal shortcomings, practicing forgiveness, and maintaining righteousness. He also warned against excessive focus on wealth, urging believers to worship God in truth and sincerity.
Rev. Asare used the occasion to invite Christian leaders, religious groups, and prayer towers to Mount Sinai Prayer Camp for spiritual renewal and growth.
