B/R:NIB Summons Bono NPP Chairman Over Allegations Against President Mahama

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been invited by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) over allegations he made against President John Dramani Mahama.

In a letter dated February 21, 2025, and signed by the Bono Regional Commander, Mr. Kwaku Afari, the NIB directed Abronye to meet with the Director of Investigations on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at KAWUKUDU in the Greater Accra Region. The invitation is in connection with statements he made during an interview on the “Movement in the Morning” show on Movement TV, hosted by Kwaku Dawuro.

According to the letter, Abronye DC alleged that former President Mahama is hoarding GH₵550 million, which was meant for dismissed appointees at Jubilee House. He also accused the administration of engaging in corrupt practices related to recruitment and revocation processes.

The NIB’s invitation indicates a move to investigate these claims and seek further clarification from the NPP Chairman. It remains to be seen how Abronye DC will respond to the allegations and the impending investigations.
