E/R:Construction Begins on Ultra-Modern CHPS Compound in Juaso
In a major step towards improving healthcare delivery in Fanteakwa South District, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Ernest Ofosu, has officially broken ground for the construction of a state-of-the-art Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in Juaso.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Hon. Ofosu highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare services and improving accessibility for residents of Juaso. He noted that the project addresses the long-standing challenge of residents having to travel long distances for medical care. Upon completion, the CHPS compound will bring essential healthcare services closer to the community, improving health outcomes and reducing the burden on residents.
In his remarks, the Chief of Akyem Juaso, Barima Kofi Amaniapong II, expressed gratitude for the project, describing it as a response to the cries of the people of Juaso. He praised the DCE’s efforts and emphasized the need for community support to ensure the timely and successful completion of the project. He also acknowledged the NPP government’s efforts in prioritizing healthcare infrastructure in the area and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering development in the community.
The Operations Manager of North-Well Construction Company Limited, Mr. Boabeng Bismark, who is overseeing the project, assured residents of the company’s dedication to delivering the CHPS compound ahead of schedule. He called for the cooperation of the community to facilitate smooth and efficient construction.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked a significant milestone in healthcare delivery for the residents of Juaso, with expectations that the facility will drastically enhance healthcare accessibility and improve the quality of life in the community.
