E/R:Chief of Sokode-Juaso Donates Solar-Powered Lights to Akyem Tafo Police to Enhance Security
In a generous move to improve security and operational efficiency, Barima Dr. Awuah Parker, the chief of Sokode-Juaso, donated six multipurpose, remote-controlled solar lights to the Akyem Tafo District Police Command on November 11, 2024. The presentation, held at the Akyem Kukurantumi Charge Office, was received by the Akyem Tafo District Commander, Superintendent Isaac Ampofo.
Barima Dr. Awuah Parker explained that the donation was prompted by a recent visit to the District Commander’s office, where a power outage forced the police to rely on a flashlight to conduct official activities. "During my visit, the lights went out, and the Commander had to resort to a torchlight in his office. I felt an immediate need to support, especially for security purposes,” he said.
The chief expressed his confidence in the Commander’s commitment to utilizing the solar lights effectively, given the diligence he has shown in managing previous donations.
Superintendent Isaac Ampofo, upon receiving the donation, expressed gratitude to Barima Dr. Awuah Parker for his ongoing support and dedication to community security. He noted that the six solar lights will be allocated to all the Charge Offices across the district, providing a reliable lighting backup for essential operations, especially as the December 7th general elections approach. He assured the community that the lights would be used purposefully to maintain uninterrupted security service.
This act of goodwill by Barima Dr. Awuah Parker strengthens the partnership between the community and law enforcement, enhancing safety and preparedness for the upcoming elections.
