The community is accusing some government officials and local police officers of complicity, alleging that these authorities are accepting bribes from miners and turning a blind eye to the illegal activities.

The flooding has already inflicted significant damage on homes and businesses in the area. Affected residents are urging the government to take immediate steps to halt the illegal mining and to provide support for those impacted by the disaster.

They are also advocating for stricter laws and regulations to prevent future illegal mining, fearing that without decisive action, the situation could worsen, placing more lives at risk.
